Manchester Monarchs News Release

LOS ANGELES, CA - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have recalled forward Oscar Moller from his conditioning assignment with the Monarchs, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

Moller, 20, has skated in one game with the Kings (February 12 vs. Calgary) since returning from an injury (fractured clavicle) that he suffered at the 2009 World Junior Championships, which were held in Ottawa from December 26 to January 5. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound native of Stockholm, Sweden, has played in 31 games with the Kings this season, his first in the NHL, and has 13 points (6-7=13) and 14 penalty minutes. Moller, who was Team Sweden's captain at the World Junior Championships, recorded five points (2-3=5) and six penalty minutes in eight games with Manchester during his recent conditioning assignment. He was drafted by the Kings in the second round (52nd overall) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

The Monarchs return to the Verizon Wireless Arena for a three game homestand starting with a rematch with the Springfield Falcons on Wednesday, March 4 at 7 p.m. Catch all of the play-by-play action of Monarchs hockey with Ken Cail on the Monarchs Radio Network WGAM AM 1250 and at www.manchestermonarchs.com.
