K-Wings Trade for Telyakov

January 10, 2015 - ECHL (ECHL)
Kalamazoo Wings News Release

KALAMAZOO- The Kalamazoo Wings have completed a trade with the Indy Fuel that will bring defenseman Ildar Telyakov to the K-Wings for future considerations.

Telyakov is a third-year pro that played in eight games this season for the Fuel. Before coming to North America, the 6'8" defenseman played in two seasons in the VHL for St. Petersburg. Besides playing in Russia last season, Telyakov also spent part of the season with the ECHL's Toledo Walleye and the Central Hockey League's St. Charles Chill. Telyakov is not slated to be in the K-Wings lineup this evening.

The K-Wings host the Cincinnati Cyclones at Wings Stadium tonight, Saturday, January 10th at 7:30 p.m., on Kids Paint the Ice Night, presented by the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts. Over 200 kids from the KIA and K-Wings Kidz Club painted the ice last Saturday afternoon to create the largest art canvas in southwest Michigan.

Known for their colored ice games, which includes the "World Famous" St. Patrick's Day Green Ice, Pink Ice, Bell's Blue Ice and Orange Ice Games, the K-Wings are proud to create another opportunity for the community to come together.

Instead of featuring one paint color, the children were able to create multi-colored artistic work on the same ice the K-Wings and Cyclones will be playing on.

Tickets for all K-Wings home games are currently on sale at Wings Stadium Ticket Office, all Ticketmaster locations, including www.ticketmaster.com or by calling (800) 745-3000.

Fans that plan on attending multiple games can avoid service fees plus enjoy a discount from the single-game price by purchasing a 12, 24 or 36-game flexi-plan. These plans along with group ticket packages (15 or more people) may be ordered through the K-Wings front office by calling (269) 743-6011.
