Americans Host Mavericks Tonight at 7:05 pm

Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans open up a weekend series with the Missouri Mavericks, beginning tonight at 7:05 pm at Allen Event Center.
The Americans are 4-0 against the Mavericks this season, outscoring them by a 17-4 margin over those games. Gary Steffes and Chad Costello have seven points each against Missouri this season. Steffes leads the way in the season series with five goals against the Mavericks, including the game-winner on Tuesday in the Americans 2-1 victory at Independence Events Center.
Both Chad Costello and Gary Steffes reached milestones on Tuesday night, when Steffes fired home his 20th of the season in the second period; it was his 100th career goal. Chad Costello assisted on the Steffes goal for his 400th career point.
It was announced this week that Allen Americans forward, Jack Combs, was voted a starter in the CCM ECHL All Star Classic coming up on January 21st in Orlando. The All Star Game is presented by Visit Orlando. Steve Martinson was named to the coaching staff.
Josh Brittain is the only player on the Missouri roster with more than one point in the season series against Allen, with a goal and an assist in four games. Mike Clemente is 0-4 against Allen this season, with a 4.04 goals against average and a 0.861 save percentage.
The two clubs will play a total of nine times this season, with five of the nine games at Allen Event Center.
