ECHL Announces Fines, Suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Saturday announced the following fines and suspensions.

Brampton's Thrower fined, suspended

Brampton's Dalton Thrower has been suspended for five games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #339, Brampton at Elmira, on Jan. 9.

Thrower was assessed a game misconduct under Rule #70.3 at 9:55 of the third period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #70.10 leaving the bench for the purpose of starting an altercation.

Thrower will miss Brampton's games at Reading (Jan. 10 and Jan. 11) and vs. Wheeling (Jan. 16, Jan. 17 and Jan. 18).

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Rapid City's Clarke fined, suspended

Rapid City's Dylan Clarke has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECH Game #875, Tulsa at Rapid City, on Jan. 9.

Clarke was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for charging under Rule #42.5 at 1:39 of overtime. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Clarke will miss Rapid City's game against Tulsa tonight (Jan. 10).

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
