BOISE, Idaho - Jason Bast (two goals), James Livingston (goal and assist) and Eamonn McDermott (two assists) each had multi point games to help the Idaho Steelheads defeat the Alaska Aces, 4-2 before 4,881 fans at CenturyLink Arena on Saturday.

Greg Wolfe and Ryan Walters each scored the Aces goals, who dropped their fourth straight loss to Idaho this season.

For the second straight night, the Aces were unable to overcome a sluggish first period start, again trailing 3-1 at the end of 20 minutes. Jefferson Dahl's finish at the goal mouth put Idaho up 1-0 at 6:24 but the Aces turned the tables, responding on the next shift for a 1-1 tie with Wolfe's 13th goal of the season.

Wolfe went to the net and deflected Bryan Cameron's bid from the left circle, 49 seconds after Idaho opened the scoring.

Livingston's ninth goal of the season was a wrister insider the blue line that deflected off Corey Syvret, past Aaron Crandall's glove at 12:59. Bast then extended Idaho's lead to 3-1 with 46.7 seconds left in the period when he drove to the goal mouth and snuck a backhander through Crandall's five-hole.

The Aces restored momentum by outshooting Idaho, 13-4 in the second period and drew to within 3-2 on Walters' finish between the circles, set up by Greg Wolfe after an Idaho turnover with 4:25 left in the period.

The third period featured more pressure in the Idaho zone, but the Aces came up short after squandering four power plays (0 of 8 in the game), including a five-on-three situation. Bast sealed the game with his second goal of the night, an empty netter for a 4-2 score.

Crandall took his first loss in regulation of the season with 23 saves.
