Aces to Auction Jerseys Friday and Saturday

ANCHORAGE, ALASKA -The Alaska Aces announced Monday that a select number of authentic, game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off following games Friday and Saturday at the Sullivan Arena.

Friday, the Glacier Blue third jerseys (pictured above) will be auctioned.

Saturday is NHL Night. The Aces will be wearing a special NHL affiliation jersey saluting the Vancouver Canucks, the Aces NHL partner this past season.

Both auctions will commence following the games and will follow the same format as previous Aces jersey auctions.

In other Aces news, forward Stephen Perfetto has been released from his tryout contract with Milwaukee of the AHL. Perfetto, 25, scored 3 goals and 2 assists for 5 points in 9 games with the Admirals. In 48 games this season with Alaska, Perfetto scored 27 goals with 37 assists for 64 points.

Perfetto is scheduled to return to Alaska Tuesday.

Also, goaltender Steven Summerhays has rejoined the club for Wednesday's game against Idaho. Since leaving the Aces after playing in 14 games last season, Summerhays has been a member of six ECHL teams (Missouri, Tulsa, Norfolk, South Carolina, Greenville, Florida), and was loaned to Cleveland of the AHL. The 26 year old Summerhays played college hockey at Notre Dame. The Anchorage native also won a national title with the Green Bay Gamblers of the USHL in 2010, playing at the time for Jon Cooper, currently the coach of the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning.
