Long Beach Ice Dogs News Release

Last Weeks Highlights: 11/5/03 > Long Beach 6 vs. Florida 4

The Ice Dogs looked impressive in beating the number 2 offense in the league at their own game Wednesday night. It appeared Florida was on their way to securing another win with a 4-2 lead in the 2nd, but 4 unanswered goals by the Ice Dogs proved to be too much. John McNabb, Krzysztof Wieckowski, and Eric Laplante each had two goals apiece for Long Beach, who outshot an opponent for the first time this season, 43-38.

11/7/03 > Long Beach 0 vs. Alaska 4

It was a dismal outing for the Ice Dogs who dropped an important game to division rival Alaska by a score of 4-0. Despite out-shooting the Aces 33-23, the Ice Dogs went 0-6 on the powerplay and looked flat. T.J. Aceti, making his 4th straight start for Long Beach, stopped 19 shots in the loss. The teams will meet 9 more times this season.

11/8/03 > Long Beach 1 vs. Las Vegas 4

Las Vegas took the best record in the ECHL to the Long Beach Arena Saturday night and made it even better by dropping the Ice Dogs 4-1. Long Beach tied the score 1-1 in the second on Nick Ganga's 2nd of the season, but the Wranglers went on to score 3 unanswered goals en route to their 9th victory of the season. Former Ice Dogs Chris Kenady and Jeff Attard combined for 3 points in their return to Long Beach.
