Ice Pilots go 0-2-1 over the weekend

The Pensacola Ice Pilots picked up one point out of a possible six over the weekend. The Ice Pilots lost to the Fresno Falcons on Friday and Saturday night at home by scores of 3-2 and 6-3. Tyler Kindle and Greg Chambers scored the goals for the Ice Pilots on Friday night. The Ice Pilots tied the game up at two only to lose the game on a short handed goal by Kris Porter with less than three minutes to go in the period. Mike Jones, Brad Cruikshank and Jean Francois Soucy scored the goals for the Ice Pilots on Saturday night. The Ice Pilots were tied with Fresno at 2 goals apiece going into the third period but Fresno scored three goals in a span of three minutes in the third to win 6-3.

The Ice Pilots picked up a point on Sunday with a 4-3 overtime loss to the Texas Wildcatters in Beaumont, Texas. Dwayne Hay, Mike Jones and Jim Abbott scored the goals for the Ice Pilots. Bob Cunningham scored the game winning goal for Texas :25 seconds into the overtime on a power play. Evgeny Konstantinov got his first start of the season in goal for the Ice Pilots and stopped 30 out of 34 shots.

The Ice Pilots begin the week with a record of 5-3-1 for 11 points which is good for third place in the Central Division of the Western Conference.

The Ice Pilots are home this Thursday vs. Texas and Friday night vs. Louisiana
The Ice Pilots will play home to Texas on Thursday night at 7:05 p.m. The Ice Pilots have a record of 1-0-1 vs. Texas this season. The Ice Pilots defeated Texas at home on October 25th 7-2 and lost in overtime to Texas this past Sunday 4-3. Texas begins the week in last place in the Central Division with a record of 2-6-1 for 5 points. The Ice Pilots play Louisiana on Fr! iday night at 7:05 p.m. The Ice Pilots have an all-time regular season record vs. Louisiana of 17-28-5 including a record of 12-9-4 at home and 5-19-1 on the road. The Ice Pilots played Louisiana twice during the preseason this year and posted a 1-1 record. The Ice Pilots will also play at Louisiana on Sunday at 4:05 p.m.

Ice Pilots in Third Place

Ice Pilots leaders
Ice Pilots defenseman Corey Neilson leads the team with 15 points and is the top scoring defenseman in the ECHL. Neilson is also ranked fourth in the league among scorers with 15 points and is third in the league with 13 assists. Neilson also leads all defenseman with 13 assists. Brian Eklund is second in the league with 258 saves. Greg Chambers is third in the league in scoring among rookies with 12 points and is second among rookies with 9 assists. Jean Francois Soucy leads all rookies with 11 minor penalties.

Ice Pilots in the Community
Corey Neilson and Peter Bournazakis will be speaking to the Ice Pilots Fan Club this Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. at Damon's Restaurant. Jim Abbott, Mike Jones, Pete Summerfelt, Jamie Herrington, Greg Chambers and Brian Eklund will be at Santa Rosa Mall this Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. signing autographs with the arrival of Santa Claus. Iceman will be at Military Appreciation Day on Saturday.

Practice Schedule for the week
The Ice Pilots will have today (Monday) off with no practice. The Ice Pilots will practice at the Civic Center on Tuesday and Wednesday at 10 a.m. The Ice Pilots will have a pre skate on Thursday at the Civic Center at 10 a.m. and play home to Texas on Thursday night. The Ice Pilots will have a pre skate on Friday at 10 a.m. and play home to Louisiana on Friday night at 7:05 p.m. The Ice Pilots will travel to Louisiana on Saturday and play at Louisiana on Sunday at 4:05 p.m.

Nominated Player of the Week
Ice Pilots defenseman Mike Jones has been nominated by the Ice Pilots for the ECHL Player of the week. Jones scored two goals over the weekend returning to the line up from an injury since the first game of the season. Evgeny Konstantinov has been nominated for goalie of the week losing in overtime to Texas on Sunday stopping 30 out of 34 shots.

Season Ticket Packages are available with year round payments
Full season ticket packages and 16 game packages are available with year round payments. The following is a list of the full season ticket plan with year round payments: $22 seats for floor and glass is $49.99 per month, $15 seats for sides is $35.99 per month, $13 seats for goal and lower upper level is $32.99 per month, $10 seats for upper level is $24.99 per month.

Group Tickets
Group tickets are available at the Ice Pilots office. A group of 15-24 will receive $2 off per ticket and scoreboard recognition. A group of 25-99 will receive $2 off per ticket, scoreboard recognition, the group leader receive two free tickets with a minimum of 25 tickets purchased and group members are eligible to become an MVP. Each group member fills out and MVP card, (Cards are mailed with the group tickets), and drops the card in the MVP box at customer service before the game, and has the opportunity to win a valuable prize! Groups of 100 or more will receive scoreboard recognition, two free tickets, MVP cards plus $3 off per ticket and an opportunity to perform the national anthem or participate in the ceremonial puck drop (Subject to availability and approval).

Birthday Parties
Celebrate your birthday with the Ice Pilots. The Ice Pilots birthday party package includes hot dogs, cokes, cake and 10 $13 lower goal game tickets, a special gift pack for the birthday person delivered by Iceman, a birthday card signed by the Ice Pilots and scoreboard recognition. Assigned Players from Tampa Bay
The Ice Pilots currently have six players on the roster assigned from Tampa Bay. They are goalies Brian Eklund, Evgeny Konstantinov and forward Dwayne Hay. Forward Jean Francois Soucy, forward Ryan Craig and defenseman Jeremy Van Hoof are also assigned from Tampa. Ryan Craig has been called up to Hershey.

Ice Pilots team up with Nextel for "Nextel Can for a Cause" vs. Mississippi on November 25th at 7:05 p.m.
The Ice pilots will host "Nextel Can for a Cause" holiday food drive when the Ice Pilots play home to Mississippi on Tuesday, November 25th at 7:05 p.m. Each fan who donates three or more nonperishable food items at the game will receive $3 off the ticket price at the box office, and will also receive an Ice Pilots, Manna Food Pantry and Nextel Rally Towel.

Kerr's Kids
This season the Ice Pilots are introducing "Kerr's Kids." Thanks to Ice Pilots owner Tim Kerr and SMG (Pensacola Civic Center), the Ice Pilots would like to invite six children and their escorts to a game. The Ice Pilots will provide free admission, a goodie bag for each child and SMG will provide a hot dog and soda for each guest. Accessible seating will be arranged for "Kerr's Kids" in section 105. The Ice Pilots Coach's Radio show is broadcasted from the Gutter Lounge at Phoenix Crossing inside the new Liberty Lanes this year located at 3200 North Palafox Street. The show is broadcasted on the Ice Pilots hockey network from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. Fans can hear the radio show on WCOA AM 1370 and on the internet at www.icepilots.com sponsored by Sports Avenue. Fans can meet the players, head coach Todd Gordon and members of the Ice Pilots office staff all season long. Forward Peter Bournazakis and defenseman Doug Schueller will be the player guests tonight.
