Last Weeks Highlights: 10/17/03 > Long Beach 5 @ Roanoke 4

The Ice Dogs came out on top in the first game played between former WCHL and ECHL teams. Ice Dogs captain Craig Lyons had 2 goals and an assist, and goaltender Colin Zulianello got the win, holding off an Express comeback late in the game.

10/18/03 > Long Beach 1 @ Johnstown 4

The Ice Dogs were defeated by the Chiefs, who were backstopped by former NHL all-star goaltender Arturs Irbe. Eric Laplante had the lone goal for the Ice Dogs, who had a total of 27 shots. The goal brought the score to 2-1 before Johnstown scored 2 unanswered goals in the final period.

10/19/03 > Long Beach 0 @ Wheeling 2

Nailers goaltender Martin Brochu stopped all 29 Ice Dogs shots to earn the win and the shutout. Ice Dogs goaltender T.J. Aceti put forth a valiant effort with 42 saves but was unable to get the help he needed on the scoreboard. This was the 3rd game in 3 nights for the Ice Dogs.

10/24/03 > Long Beach @ Trenton

The Ice Dogs continue their 5 game road trip for their first ever meeting against the Titans. The teams will meet again in Long Beach on February 7.

10/25/03 > Long Beach @ Atlantic City

The Ice Dogs skate into Atlantic City to take on the defending Kelly Cup Champions. This will be the final contest of a 5 game, East Coast trip for the Ice Dogs and the only meeting between these teams this season.
