The Reading Royals started the Derek Clancey era in fine fashion netting two wins during opening week of the 2003-04 season. Friday in Trenton , Reading picked up just their sixth win in 21 tries against the Titans 6-1. Jon Zion led the way with a hat trick and rookie forward David Masse popped in three helpers. Saturday, the Royals opened the season in the Jungle with a rock solid defensive performance knocking off Texas 2-0. Captain Brad Church lit the lamp twice while Adam Hauser picked up his sixth professional shutout. Reading travels to Toledo on Friday and Saturday to do battle with the Storm.

GAME NOTES: Reading broke the game open with three goals in the second period en route to a 6-1 win. Jon Zion posted his second professional hat trick and notched two of the goals on the power play. Adam Hauser stopped 30 shots in the win for Reading . The Royals and Titans square off again on Tuesday November 11 at 7:00 p.m.
Saturday, October 18 vs Texas Sovereign Center 7:05PM
GAME NOTES: Tough defense and solid goaltending propelled Reading to victory in their home opener over the Texas Wildcatterrs 2-0. Brad Church accounted for both Royals goals while linemates David Masse and Graig Mischler assisted on both Church goals. Adam Hauser stopped 17 shots to post his first shutout in just his second game with Reading .

GAME NOTES: Reading and Toledo will meet a total of six times this season with each team hosting three battles. The Royals are 2-2-1 overall against the Storm in their history.

GAME NOTES: Reading has played two games in their history in the Toledo Sports Arena and came with a 1-1-0 record. Toledo posted the best record in the regular season last year and captured the Brahbam Cup.

The "Hause" was spectacular this weekend allowing just one goal against in his first two starts. Hauser stopped 30 shots in a win Friday night in Trenton then came back in the Royals home opener to shut out Texas 2-0.
