Oct. 17 @ Bakersfield â Goaltender Nolan Schaefer recorded a 23-save shutout in his professional debut, and last season's leading scorer Kris Porter scored twice to lead the Falcons to a 3-0 season-opening win against the Condors.

This three-game set in Anchorage against the Aces continues an 11-game road trip to begin the season.
NOTES
· Friday's win brought the team's record to 3-4-2 in season openers and was the first opening day shutout in Falcons history.
· The Falcons begin this week tied for third in the Pacific Division with the San Diego Gulls and Long Beach Ice Dogs with two points.
· Fresno is ranked first in the ECHL on the power play (1 for 2, 50%) and tied for first on the penalty kill (4 for 4, 100%).
· Porter's two goals follow up last season's team-high and personal career-best 35 goals.
