
Blades Pick up Two Wins on First Road Trip

The Florida Everblades opened the 2003-04 season on the road this past weekend taking two of three games on the road. The Blades blanked the Augusta Lynx 2-0 in the season opener this past Friday night in Augusta. Florida was then upended by the Lynx on Saturday 8-5 but the Everblades bounced back on Sunday afternoon defeating the Florence Pride 8-4 in Florence, SC on Sunday afternoon. The Everblades are in a three way tie for first place after picking up four points this past weekend. Florida forward Keith Anderson currently leads the ECHL in scoring with 7 points (3 goals, 4 assists). All regular season games can be heard on Sportsradio 770 AM and on the Internet at www.floridaeverblades.com, www.ABC-7.com and www.NBC-2.com with the "Voice of the Everblades" Dan Guenther calling the play-by-play. This Friday's game versus the Lousiana Ice Gators at TECO Arena will be an Internet only broadcast. The game can be also be heard inside the arena on 96.5 FM. 'The Gerry Fleming Coaches Show' presented by Stevie Tomato's Sportspage on Sportsradio 770 AM airs from 6:00 - 7:00 PM on Monday nights. The show will be live on remote at the Naples location beginning tonight with player guest forward Brian McCullough.

The Florida Everblades (1-0-0) defeated the Augusta Lynx (0-1-0) 2-0 in front of a crowd of 4,286 at the Augusta Civic Center on Friday night. Florida forward Brian McCullough notched the game winning goal in the Everblades victory and goaltender Jeff Maund stopped all 29 shots he faced to earn his first win and shutout of the season.

The Florida Everblades (1-1-0) were defeated by the Augusta Lynx (1-1-0) 8-5 in front of a crowd of 2,495 at the Augusta Civic Center on Saturday night. Augusta forward Scott Corbett notched one goal and three assists in the Lynx victory.
Sunday, October 19th @ Florence 8-4 W
The Florida Everblades (1-1-0) defeated the Florence Pride (1-1-0) 8-4 at the Florence Civic Center on Sunday afternoon. Florida forward Reggie Berg notched two goals and one assist in the Blades victory.
