Hurricanes Acquire Last Season\'s Scoring Champion

Lethbridge, AB- The Lethbridge Hurricanes have acquired 20-year-old forward Tyler Redenbach from the Swift Current Broncos in exchange for 17-year-old RJ LaRochelle, 18-year-old David Murray and 20-year-old Justin Cruse.

Redenbach led the entire Western Hockey League with 105 points last season. He has 14 goals, 24 assists and 49 penalty minutes in 42 games this season. The product of Kamloops is in his fourth season in the Western Hockey League.

LaRochelle is in his second season in the WHL. The product of Swift Current has six assists and 35 penalty minutes this season. Murray has three goals and three assists in his rookie season. Cruz is in his fourth season in the WHL and has notched six goals, five assists and 24 penalty minutes this season.

"Redenbach will deliver added offense to our lineup and has the ability to help strengthen our specialty teams", said Hurricanes Assistant General Manager Brad McEwan. "We wish RJ, David and Justin the best of luck in Swift Current", added McEwan.
