Calgary, Alberta -- The 2005 Western Hockey League trade deadline has come and gone with several trades still being finalized and announced.

The Swift Current Broncos made two big deals this afternoon as well another one involving the Brandon Wheat Kings.

Before obtaining left-winger Mark Shefchyk from Brandon for a fourth round draft choice, Broncos' general manager and head coach Dean Chynoweth finalized to blockbusters - moving captain Tyler Redenbach to the Central Division leading Lethbridge Hurricanes in exchange for 17-year old blueliner R.J. Larochelle, 18-year old David Murray and overager Justin Cruse.

"We felt it was in the best interests of our team to move Tyler at this time," said Chynoweth. "We were able to pick up R.J., a local player who is a real character guy on the back end and up front, in Justin Cruse, we have a 20-year old to bring some character to the team."

In the other big deal of the day, Swift Current obtained 18-yearold forward Josh Aspenlind, a fifth and conditional seventh round bantam pick in 2006 for overage blueliner Matej Trojobsky and 18-year old forwards Tyler Feakes and Blair Stengler.

In another trade, Moose Jaw sent 18-year old forward Tyson Sievert to the Eastern Division leading Saskatoon Blades in exchange for 17-year old defenceman Derek Edwards.
