Kamloops Blazers News Release

Kamloops, B.C. -- The Western Hockey League's Kamloops Blazers have completed two deals prior to this afternoon's deadline.

In the first one, the Blazers moved 20-year old center Jarret Lukin to the defending champion Medicine Hat Tigers in exchange for overage forward Paul Gentile, 17-year old Brandon product Bryan Kauk and a third round bantam draft choice.

In the second one of the day, Kamloops sent 19-year old forward Cam Cunning to the Vancouver Giants in exchange for 18-year old Matt Kassian.

"We are very excited to be adding Jarret Lukin to our hockey club," said Tigers' general manager Mike Moore. "He is a dynamic player who will compliment our speed game while contributing additional offence."
