Medicine Hat, AB – In the second deal of the day, Medicine Hat Tigers traded 19-year-old defenseman Liam Couture to the Kelowna Rockets for a fifth round draft pick in the 2005 bantam draft.

Couture, hailing from Calgary, AB, was acquired by the Tigers earlier this season from the Spokane Chiefs.

"With the development of our young blue line, we felt this deal was a good opportunity for both the hockey club and Liam," said Tigers' g.m. Mike Moore.

" We want to thank Liam for his time with the Tigers and wish him the best of luck in the Okanagan," concluded Moore.
