Guerrero Rejoins Wizards

Fort Wayne, IN - For the second time this season outfielder Santiago Guerrero has rejoined the Wizards, bringing the Fort Wayne roster back to the maximum allotted active players to 25.

Guerrero was recalled from the San Diego Padres extended spring training camp in Peoria, Arizona after outfielder Josh Alley was placed on the disabled list on Tuesday, retroactive to Saturday, June 3.

Guerrero was with the Wizards during the eight-game road trip against the Beloit Snappers (Minnesota Twins affiliate) and Kane County Cougars (Oakland A's affiliate) at the beginning of May.

In two games, he hit .222 with one run batted in and one walk.

Alley was injured in the first game of the Wizards doubleheader on Friday, June 2 against the Peoria Chiefs (Chicago Cubs affiliate). He is currently hitting .165 with eight runs batted in, in 32 games.
