Grizzlies Fall in Stockton
November 29, 2014 - ECHL (ECHL)
Utah Grizzlies News Release
Stockton, California - The Stockton Thunder defeated the Utah Grizzlies 6-1 Friday night at Stockton Arena.
Trailing 1-0 after one period, Utah tied the game early in the second on a Vinny Scarsella power-play goal assisted by Connor Hardowa and Michael Pelech and the tide seemed to turn as the Grizzlies put up a season-high 18 shots in the second period; even with Stockton taking a 2-1 lead at 6:45 of the frame.
However, Stockton put up four goals in just over a seven minute stretch late in the second period and early in the third and took command of the game with a 6-1 lead.
Ryan Faragher took over in goal to start the third period in relief of Joe Howe.
Danick Paquette returned to the Grizzlies lineup after missing nine-straight games injured. Veteran Matt Pelech made his Grizzlies debut in the game and played in his 400th professional contest on the night after signing with the team earlier in the week.
Utah is next in action Saturday in Bakersfield at 8:00 p.m.
