HEAD TO HEAD - This is the third of 16 meetings this season between the Thunder and the Americans. All-time, Wichita is 10-18-3 against Allen and 6-7-2 at home.
600 - Head Coach Kevin McClelland reached a milestone last night, coaching in his 600th game as a professional head coach. The Thunder jumped out to a 3-0 lead and earned a 4-1 win. Mac started back in 2005-06 with the Memphis RiverKings. He is in his fifth season behind the Thunder bench, going 151- 100-29 over that span.
MILESTONES - Several players are approaching milestones. Mike Wilson is nearing 200 points and 400 career games. Nikita Kashirsky is approaching 100 goals for his career and 300 games. RG Flath is 12 points shy of 300 for his career. Todd Hosmer needs one point to reach 100. Theo Peckham is close to 1,000 PIM and 400 games. Kenton Miller is 18 points shy of 100 for his career.
SHOTS, SHOTS, SHOTS - Wichita started out the season trying to find scoring chances. The Thunder averaged 23.33 shots per game in the first three contests. Wichita went nine-straight games reaching the 30-shot plateau and that was stopped last night in Missouri. The Thunder outshot the Mavericks 11-3 in the second and was outshot by the same margin in the third.
OLD FRIEND - Kenton Miller continues to be a thorn in the side of his former team. Miller recorded an assist last night and now has seven points in five games against the Mavericks. Danick Gauthier had two assists last night, pushing his multi-point games to six.

TODAY: Wichita returns home today after winning on the road last night at Missouri. The Allen Americans come into town as one of the hottest teams in the league, having won eight straight and are 9-1-0-0 in their last 10 games. Wichita is led by Danick Gauthier, who has 16 points and Ian Lowe, who has 14 points so far this season. The Americans are led by the duo of Jack Combs and Chad Costello, who both have 20 points or more on the season. Combs has points in his last 14 games and Costello has 14 assists and 20 points on the year.
