TONIGHT:

The Ontario Reign (10-6-0-2) face the Colorado Eagles (9-5-0-0) in the third and final match of this three-game set road series between these two clubs. The game also marks the end of Ontario's season-high nine-game road trip.

SHEEN JUMPS COUTURE IN ACTIVE GAMES PLAYED:

Although he returned to the lineup on Friday after being activated from reserve, Derek Couture's time off the active roster allowed Everett Sheen to leapfrog the Reign captain for most career games with the team by an active player (180 to 179). If both players remain healthy, they should be able to supplant Kyle Kraemer (209) and David Walker (216) for most games played with the club all-time.

POWER-PLAY TROUBLES:

After two power-play goals on Wednesday, Ontario regressed slightly with the man advantage on Friday night, as the team tied the season-high for power-play chances set on Nov. 11 vs. Stockton with seven, but failed to convert once, pushing the Reign out of the top 10 power-play teams in the league.

BAITING THE EAGLES:

One positive to take away from Friday night's match was that Colorado took an excessive amount of penalties; their 36 minutes spent in the box were the most of any opponent the Reign have faced this season. That figure was also well above the Eagles' season average of 21.73 minutes per game, the most of any Western Conference team. If Ontario can take advantage of an undisciplined opponent tonight, it should bode well over the course of 60 minutes.
