November 29, 2014 - ECHL (ECHL)
Indy Fuel News Release
INDIANAPOLIS - The Indy Fuel, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks and the AHL's Rockford IceHogs, announced Saturday that goaltender Cody Reichard was returned to the Fuel from his recent loan to the AHL's Chicago Wolves. A 5'11", 165 lb. native of Celina, Ohio, Reichard is 3-4-1-0 for the Fuel in a team-leading nine appearances this season with a 2.66 goals-against average and a team-best .907 save percentage.
A standout collegiate netminder at Miami University from 2008 to 2012, Reichard did not appear in a game for the Wolves in his most recent AHL assignment, but served as Chicago's backup goaltender in the Wolves' 4-1 road loss vs. the Milwaukee Admirals on Wednesday and Chicago's 4-3 road win vs. Rockford on Friday. In nine career AHL appearances for the Houston Aeros and Iowa Wild in parts of the past two seasons, Reichard is 4-2-1 with a combined S% of .911. The Fuel also announced Saturday that goaltender Sean Bonar has been released from his ECHL contract.
Next up for the Fuel, it's a Saturday showdown with the Cincinnati Cyclones with the opening faceoff set for 7:35 pm at the Fairgrounds Coliseum on Movember "Shave the Date" Night. The first 2,000 moustache-free ticket holders through the gates on Saturday will receive a complimentary faux 'stache and a portion of the evening's proceeds will go to the Movember Foundation to help "Change the face of men's health." Tickets are available at all Ticketmaster outlets, online at Ticketmaster.com or at the Fairgrounds Coliseum box office during regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Full television coverage of Saturday's game begins at 7:30 pm on HTSN with Jim Mirabello on the call, while radio coverage gets underway with the "Jose Cuervo Pregame Show" at 7:20 pm on CBS Sports 1430 WXNT-AM with Fuel broadcaster Tony Brown providing the play-by-play.
