December 13, 2004 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Utah Grizzlies News Release

ROSEMONT, ILLINOIS- The Grizzlies fell behind Sunday afternoon in Chicago by a 4-0 deficit before battling back to cut the lead to one but Utah ran out of gas dropping a 5-3 decision to the Chicago Wolves at the Allstate Arena.

The Wolves jumped on the Grizzlies early scoring a couple power play goals in the first period, both by Lonny Bohones (his fourth and fifth goals of the season). Late in the period, Paul Flache would score his first goal of the season on a solid three-man rush joined by Cory Larose and Bohones. Chicago outshot the Grizzlies 15-5 in the period.

Utah would bounce back in the second period after J.P. Vigier scored his eighth goal of the season early in the period, the Grizzlies would score twice in the final five minutes of the frame. The first goal was scored by Fredrik Sjostrom who banged in a loose puck sitting in the goal crease for his fifth goal of the season. Jarrod Skalde would score on the power play in the final minute of the period for his fifth goal of the season and Utah would head into the second intermission trailing by just two goals at 4-2. Utah outshot the Wolves 14-6 in the period.

The Grizzlies pulled even closer in the third period when Jeff Taffe scored his seventh goal of the season bringing Utah to within a goal. A funny bounce off the glass behind David LeNeveu, replaced Pelletier at the beginning of the second period, left Ben Simon with a lot of holes to shoot at and he didn't miss scoring his fourth goal of the season.

Utah outshot the Wolves 30-29 in the game and 21-8 after the Wolves took the 4-0 lead.

Utah will begin a five-game home stand on Wednesday night versus the Grand Rapids Griffins. Face-off at the 'E' Center is scheduled for 7:05 PM.
