FRIDAY, DECEMBER 12th @ SYRACUSE (4-3 W OT): Binghamton traveled to Syracuse on Friday night and fought back from a three-goal deficit to earn a 4-3 victory in overtime. Syracuse scored two first-period goals and added a third 58 seconds into the second period before Binghamton even got on the board. The Sens got two second period goals, the first scored by DENIS HAMEL followed by a CHRISTOPH SCHUBERT goal that actually went through the net. BRANDON BOCHENSKI scored the final two goals of the comeback for the Sens. His first goal, a power-play tally, came at 12:14 of the final frame with JASON SPEZZA assisting on the goal. BOCHENSKI then scored the game-winner 3:32 into the overtime period. RAY EMERY shut out Syracuse on the final 19 shots he faced and made 29 saves in the win. KARL GOEHRING turned away 32 shots in the loss. Binghamton was 2 for 6 with the man advantage while Syracuse was 2 for 3.
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 13th @ ALBANY (3-2 L OT): The Sens picked up a point in the standings but could not come out with a win on Saturday night in Albany as they dropped an overtime contest to the River Rats 3-2. Binghamton jumped out to a 2-0 lead thanks to a power-play goal by winger JOSH LANGFELD at the 5:43 mark of the opening stanza as well as a second man-advantage tally by defenseman ANTON VOLCHENKOV just over a minute into the middle period. AHREN NITTEL kicked off the scoring for Albany at 12:18 of the second period and two goals by ALEKSANDER SUGLOBOV, who had four points in the season opener in a 6-2 win against the Sens, sank Binghamton. Binghamton was 2 for 4 with an extra skater while they held Albany scoreless on the power play in seven tries.
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 14th @ PROVIDENCE (3-2 L): The B-Sens almost made a comeback after being down by three goals, but fell just short on Sunday night as they dropped their second straight game 3-2 against the Providence Bruins. Two first-period goals by BRAD BOYES coupled with a BEN GUITE tally with just under three minutes left in the period gave the Bruins a 3-0 lead heading into the dressing room after the first twenty minutes of play. Binghamton got on the board for the first time at the 11:16 mark of the second period thanks to a CHRIS KELLY marker. JOSH LANGFELD brought the Sens within one goal 7:04 into the final stanza with a power-play goal assisted by BRIAN POTHIER and JASON SPEZZA.
