
Grizzlies build 8-0 lead; hang on 9-5 versus Alaska

West Valley City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies (22-19-0-4) built an 8-0 lead and held on 9-5 Friday night at the E-Center versus Alaska. Garett Bembridge tied an all-time Utah high with four goals in the game. 12 Utah skaters tallied at least one point. Utah has now won three-straight games and is unbeaten in their last four contests.
Utah built a 3-0 lead with three goals in the first 7:47 of the game with Justin Bourne, Garett Bembridge and Olivier Labelle scoring.
The Grizzlies made it 8-0 with five goals in the second period. Utah scored their first four goals of the period in the first 7:29 of the frame with Ian Forbes, Keith Johnson, Bembridge and Justin Johnson scoring. Garett Bembridge completed the hat trick at 13:22 as the Grizzlies made it 8-0.
Alaska rallied back by scoring five of the game's six final goals.
Mike Mole earned his twelfth win of the year in the contest.
The Grizzlies will go for the three-game series sweep of the Aces Saturday at the E-Center. Face-off is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
