Jackals call the MAHL for three

ELMIRA, NY - The Elmira Jackals, proud member of the ECHL, announced today that they have signed forwards Chris Ferazzoli and Justin Todd to ECHL contracts and have added goaltender Rob Lemelin as their emergency back-up with Dan LaCosta on recall to Syracuse (AHL).

Ferazzoli, a 27-year old rookie, participated in the Elmira Jackals pro development camp this past September. Currently, he is the second-leading scorer with the league-leading Indiana Ice Miners of the Mid-Atlantic Hockey League (MAHL). In 26 games, Ferazzoli has 65 points on 22 goals and 43 assists. He had a 25-game point scoring streak end in the Ice Miners last game, a 2-1 win over Wooster Wednesday night.

Todd, 23, is Indiana's fifth-leading scorer totaling 22 goals and 38 points in 23 games. The first year pro recorded 74 points in 79 career collegiate games in two seasons with Lebanon Valley (NCAA).

Lemelin, 25, will serve as the emergency back-up to Joel Martin. In 23 games with the Valley Forge Freedom (MAHL), Lemelin posted a record of 7-13-1 with no shutouts, a 6.27 goals against average and an .875 save percentage.

All three players will join the club in Trenton, New Jersey, and be in uniform tonight's 7:30 p.m. face-off against the Devils.

The Jackals return to action Friday when they visit the Trenton Devils at 7:30 p.m. at Sovereign Bank Arena. Broadcast coverage begins with the Hill Top Inn Countdown to Face-Off at 7:00 p.m. on MAGIC FM (92.7/97.7).

The club's next home game is Saturday against the Reading Royals in a 7:35 p.m. face-off. Arnot Health will be giving away free pucks (first 1,000 fans) on Donor Awareness Night presented by Williams Toyota. Over 400 prizes will be given away in-game and a special pre-game ceremony celebrating donor awareness and its impact locally will take place.
