Kevin Saurette Loaned To Binghamton

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League and the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, today announced that forward Kevin Saurette has been loaned to the Binghamton Senators of the AHL. This marks the first trip of the season to the AHL for Saurette, who played twenty four games in Binghamton last season. This year with the Royals, Saurette has scored eight goals and picked up twelve assists (twenty points) and forty-eight penalty minutes in twenty-nine games. In separate transactions, the Royals also: (i) activated forward Ned Lukacevic from the three-day injured reserve; (ii) activated Patrick Jarrett from the thirty-day injured reserve; (iii) moved defenseman Victor Uchevatov from the seven-day to the thirty-day injured reserve; and (iv) released forward Peter Ferraro.

The Royals return to action on tonight (February 1, 2008) (7:05 pm) when the team takes on the Johnstown Chiefs and the organization hosts "Pink In The Rink." The first 5000 fans that night will receive a pink bracelet signifying support in the continuing effort to find a cure for breast cancer. The evening's festivities will include the team wearing special pink jerseys which will be auctioned off after the game with the net proceeds going to help Breast Cancer Support Services of Berks County and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The game night broadcast on Friday will begin at 6:35 pm with the pre-game warm-up show presented by The Works at Wyomissing on ESPN Radio 1240 am in Ephrata and on the Royals' website, www.royalshockey.com. Streaming video is available on a pay per view basis through the B2 Networks.
