
Grizzlies Begin 3 Game Road Trip Wednesday

West Valley City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies are on the road this week for a 3 game trip to the eastern time zone for games against Cincinnati, Wheeling and Fort Wayne.
The Grizzlies won an exciting 4-3 overtime game on January 5th to complete a 3 game sweep of the Wichita Thunder. Jack Walker scored the game winning goal 1:36 into the extra session. Walker scored a goal in each of the 3 games last week. Utah has won all 6 games vs Wichita this season and improve their home record to 13-4-1.
Utah is in first place in the Mountain division with 44 standings points, 1 point ahead of Idaho.

Forwards Jack Walker and Austin Carroll each had 3 goals and 2 assists in the 3 game sweep against Wichita. Carroll had 2 goals in the third period on Saturday night's 4-3 OT win, including the game tying goal with 1:58 left in regulation.
Ryan Walters has 2 assists in each of his last 2 games. Walters has 5 goals and 15 assists and has appeared in all 32 games this season.

Defenseman Nolan De Jong was sent back to Utah after appearing in 1 game for the AHL's San Jose Barracuda on January 5th. Grizzlies signed forward Stan Dzakhov on January 2nd. Dzakhov appeared in all 3 games for Utah last week vs Wichita. Goaltender Joe Cannata was reassigned to Utah after spending last week with the Eagles.
