West Valley City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies (3-1-1-0) defeated the Idaho Steelheads 4-1 Friday night at CenturyLink Arena in Boise as Utah goaltender Ryan Faragher stopped 46 of 47 shots.

*Halloween Matinee*

The Grizzlies host Idaho on Saturday for a Halloween Matinee. Kids in costume will be admitted free* and there will be trunk or treating on the upper concourse during the second intermission. In addition, the Grizzlies will be wearing zombie costumes presented by Coors that will be auctioned off live after the game with all proceeds going to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

*Maverik Monday*

Monday, November 2 is our first Maverik Monday. Buy 1 ticket and get 1 free with your Maverik Adventure Club Card. Maverik will also be on hand with goodies and giveaways.

Faragher improve to 3-0 in the contest as he stopped 16 in the first period, 15 in the second and the first 39 shots that he saw before Idaho got on the board late in the game.

"I saw a lot of good things tonight," said Head Coach/General Manager Tim Branham. "We need to limit our turnovers so we don't give up so many shots against."

Corey Fienhage scored into an empty net in the final minute to make it 4-1 for Utah as rookie Josh MacDonald picked up a late assist.

After an early first period penalty-kill and three saves by Ryan Faragher, the Grizzlies got on the board 10:06 into the first period as Alex Krushelnyski fed Matt Berry going hard to the net to make it 1-0.

The 1-0 lead stood for 23:10 before Utah made it 2-0 with 6:44 left in the second period on a Charles Sarualt blast in his first game of the season after being assigned by the Anaheim Ducks. Assists went to Ryan Walters and Phil Pietroniro.

Utah made it 3-0 with 1:28 left in the second as Matt Berry redirected home a shot by Ryan Misiak. Alex Krushelnyski also recorded an assist on the play.

Matt Berry (two goals) and Ryan Walters (two assists) extended their scoring streaks to five-straight games to start the season.
