Hitting the Road: This weekend marks the first and second road games for the Cyclones this season. In addition to Friday night's contest in Kalamazoo, Cincinnati will travel to Ft. Wayne on Saturday to take on the Komets. Last season, Cincinnati compiled a 14-17-0-5 record away from U.S. Bank Arena.

The Road Ahead: After just four games in the month of October, the Cyclones have a busy stretch ahead of them, as they will play 13 games in the month of November, with 10 of those games coming on back-to-back days.

Froese Makes NHL Debut: Former Cincinnati Cyclone forward Byron Froese (Pronounced Frayze) made his National Hockey League (NHL) debut on Saturday night for the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Winkler, MAN, native logged 12:50 of ice time in Toronto's 5-3 loss to the Montreal Canadiens. Froese spent parts of the last two seasons with the Cyclones, accounting for 24 points (8g, 16a) in 17 games last season, and 21 points (11g, 10a) in 25 games in 2013-2014. Froese also had a stellar post season in 2013-2014, totaling eight goals and 17 assists in 23 playoff games, helping lead the Cyclones to Game 6 of the 2014 Kelly Cup Finals. He is a 2009 NHL Draft selection of the Chicago Blackhawks.

First for the Kid: Rookie defenseman Steve Weinstein scored his first professional goal in Saturday's 4-1 win over Kalamazoo. His power play tally came in just his fifth pro hockey game, dating back to last season when he made his pro debut with the AHL's Springfield Falcons at the conclusion of his NCAA career. Weinstein is the second Cyclone to record his first pro goal this season, joining forward Joe Wilson who notched his first in the 5-1 win on October 17.

AHL Call-Up: Forward Andrew Yogan has been called up to the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL). Yogan was a staple on the scoresheet in last Saturday's season openers, dishing out three assists in Cincinnati's 5-1 win over the Toledo Walleye. This marks the second time that the Coral Springs, FL, native has received a call-up during his time in Cincinnati career, as he was called up by the San Antonio Rampage after four games last season.

AHL Influence: The Cyclones currently boast eight players who have been assigned to the team by American Hockey League (AHL) teams. Additionally, forwards Seth Ambroz and Peter Quenneville and goaltender Brad Thiessen were sent to Cincinnati from the Lake Erie Monsters, primary affiliate of the Columbus Blue Jackets.
