Last Game

Kellen Jones piled up four points by scoring one goal and assisting on three others while Zach Pochiro and Tanner Eberle both provided a goal and an assist for the Mallards as the host Missouri Mavericks defeated the Mallards 5-2 Tuesday night.

Setback

Tuesday night's loss ended the Mallards' two-game winning streak.

High Five

The Mallards matched a season high by allowing five goals Tuesday after scoring a season high five goals in each of their prior two games.

Rough Road

The Mallards Tuesday night suffered their first regulation road loss of the season. They had gone 1-0-1 in their prior two road games.

Marathon

After Tuesday night's game the Mallards travelled 1152 miles from Independence to Norfolk for tonight's contest. The Mallards will complete their three-game road trip tomorrow night in Wheeling against the Nailers. By the time they return home after that game, they will have travelled 2,555 miles

Dynamic Duo

Eberle (three goals and two assists) and Pochiro (two goals and three assists) have recorded five points apiece in the Mallards' last two games.

Between the Pipes

Brody Hoffman made 21 saves while suffering his first professional loss Tuesday night.

Special Teams

The Mallards scored both of their goals on special teams Tuesday night. Eberle struck on the power play while Pochiro scored the Mallards' first shorthanded goal of the season. The Mallards have converted three of their last six power plays and now rank eleventh in the ECHL on the man advantage (19.2 percent). The Mallards gave up two goals on four Missouri power plays Tuesday night after allowing only two goals on their foes' previous 20 advantages. The Mallards rank sixteenth in the league in penalty killing (83.3 percent)

Head to Head

Tonight's game is the first ever meeting between the Mallards and Admirals. It is also the only match-up between the two teams this season.
