
Gervais Returns In One Of Four Roster Moves

BRIDGEPORT, CT - The American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, have announced the return of defenseman Bruno Gervais to the team by the big club. The Sound Tigers have also announced the recall of defenseman Tomi Pettinen from conditioning loan by the Islanders and have returned forwards Mark Lee and Chris Thompson to the ECHL's Trenton Titans.
Gervais was recalled by the Islanders on December 3rd and posted two penalty minutes in four games, his first in the NHL, with the Islanders. He is tied for the Sound Tigers team lead with eight goals and also has nine assists, 17 points and 36 penalty minutes in 22 AHL games this season.
Pettinen joined the Sound Tigers on November 30th and notched two assists and 16 penalty minutes in eight AHL games. He has eight penalty minutes in nine NHL games with the Islanders this year.
Lee has four penalty minutes in four AHL games with the Sound Tigers, as well as two goals, two assists, four points and ten penalty minutes in ten ECHL games with Trenton this season.
Thompson, who is team captain of the Titans, has five penalty minutes in five AHL games with the Sound Tigers, as well as six goals, two assists, eight points and 29 penalty minutes in 17 ECHL games with Trenton this year.
The Sound Tigers will begin their third straight three-game-in-three-day weekend when they host the Lowell Lock Monsters this Friday, December 16th at 7:35 p.m. Friday will be "Fairfield Town Night" and the annual holiday food drive. After a road game versus the Hartford Wolf Pack Saturday at 7 p.m., the Sound Tigers will host the Norfolk Admirals this Sunday at 4:05 p.m. on "Shelton Town Night" and the annual "Teddy Bear Toss".
