SPRINGFIELD, Mass. ... The American Hockey League announced today that Providence Bruins center Nathan Robinson has been named the CCM Vector/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending December 11, 2005. In three games, Robinson recorded four goals and two assists for six points, along with a plus-5 rating for the Bruins.
Robinson scored a goal in Providence's 3-2 loss to Lowell on Friday night, then came back on Saturday and assisted on the game-winning score as the Bruins beat Albany, 2-1. On Sunday against Springfield, Robinson scored three times in a span of 4:06 during the second period - his second career hat trick - and added an assist as the Bruins posted a 6-2 win over the Falcons.
In recognition of his achievement, Robinson will be presented with an etched crystal award prior to an upcoming Bruins home game.
