
Boston Bruins Recall Alberts

Providence, RI - The Providence Bruins, member of the American Hockey League, announced that the Boston Bruins have recalled from loan defenseman Andrew Alberts. He will be with the Boston Bruins Thursday, December 15 when they visit the Minnesota Wild.
Alberts is playing in his second professional season. In 25 games with Boston this season, Alberts has one assist and 43 PIM. In six games with Providence this season, he has one assist and a plus-4 rating. Last season, after wrapping up his senior year at Boston College University, Alberts joined the Providence Bruins where he had 12 PIM in eight regular season games and five points (1g, 4a) and 40 PIM in 16 playoff games. In his four-year college career with Boston College the Eden Prairie, Minnesota native had 66 points (16g, 50a) and 243 PIM in 149 games. Alberts was selected by Boston with their fifth pick (sixth round), 179th overall, in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
The Bruins are back in action at home at the Dunkin' Donuts Center Friday, December 16, versus theHartford Wolf Pack at 7:05 p.m. P-Bruins players' wives and girlfriends will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for an hour before the game on behalf of Toys for Tots. The Providence Bruins first jersey auction of the season is underway. The P-Bruins are auctioning off the first set of gold third jerseys through a live auction on the team's website, providencebruins.com. The jersey auction will run through Friday, December 16 at 5:00 p.m. and jerseys will be shipped in time for the holidays.
Reminder: The Providence Bruins game originally scheduled for Sunday, February 12 at the Dunkin' Donuts Center has been re-scheduled for Wednesday, December 21 at 7:05 p.m. at the Dunkin' Donuts Center. All tickets issued for the February 12 game date will be valid and accepted on December 21.
