Flames Assign Lombardi To Omaha For Conditioning

Omaha, NE - The Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights announced today that the Calgary Flames, their National Hockey League affiliate, have assigned center Matt Lombardi to Omaha for conditioning. Lombardi will join the Knights in time for their home game against the Milwaukee Admirals on Wednesday, December 14th at 7:00 p.m.

Lombardi posted three assists in six games with the Flames this season before suffering an ankle sprain on October 20th vs. Edmonton. In 85 NHL career games, the Montreal native has posted 32 points (16 goals, 16 assists) and 34 penalty minutes. Lombardi has previous AHL experience playing in 85 games between the Saint John Flames and the Lowell Lock Monsters recording 50 points (28 goals, 22 assists). Lombardi was drafted in the third round, 90th overall, by the Flames in the 2002 Entry Draft.

Following Wednesday's game, the Ak-Sar-Ben Knights will be in Milwaukee on Friday and then return home on Saturday to host the Iowa Stars. The game also marks the Knights' first annual Teddy Bear Toss. Fans are encouraged to bring new Teddy Bears to the game and throw them on the ice following the Knights' first goal. The bears will be collected and donated to Toys For Tots.

The Ak-Sar-Ben Knights are offering special ticket prices for the Teddy Bear Toss game. All tickets in the Second Balcony are just $12 (regularly $21.50). Tickets in the Third Balcony Center are only $10 (regularly $17), and tickets in the Third Balcony Ends are just $8 (regularly $13). Fans do not have to bring a Teddy Bear to take advantage of these special ticket prices.

Tickets are available at the Civic Auditorium box office, Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The box office is open through the opening face-off on game nights.
