
Scoring outbursts give Admirals sole possession of fourth place

NORFOLK, VA - The Admirals scored nine goals in their two games last week to come away with two victories and sole possession of fourth place in the East Division. On Wednesday, December 7th, after giving up an early lead to Albany, Norfolk scored twice on the power play to defeat the River Rats 4-3. On Friday, December 9th, the Admirals scored thrice in a 3:04 span to take an early 3-0 lead, and Carl Corazzini netted two goals as Norfolk downed Bridgeport 5-2.
Norfolk begins a four-game road tilt with weekend matches at Binghamton, Wilkes-Barre and Bridgeport.
STANDINGS
At 11-11-2-1 (25 pts), Norfolk is currently fourth in the East. The division is led by Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (21-1-2-1, 45 pts) followed by Hershey (18-4-2-4, 42 pts) and Philadelphia (13-14-0-2, 28 pts). Bridgeport (10-16-2-0, 22 pts) and Binghamton (7-15-2-1, 17 pts) trail the Admirals.
