With the 4-3 shootout win on Saturday night in Lowell, the Pirates jumped back into a tie for first place with Manchester at the top of the Atlantic Division.
Today Ryan Getzlaf was named the WJAB Player of the Week. Getzlaf will join the "The Morning Jab" on WJAB 1440AM/95.5FM on Wednesday morning at 8:00 a.m.

During the Pirates games on December 17th and 18th, fans are encouraged to make a contribution to the Stories of Light Campaign to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Voting is underway for the 2006 Rbk Hockey AHL All-Star Classic! Fan Balloting began Friday, December 9, at noon EST, exclusively on the official Web site of the AHL, theahl.com. Fans have the opportunity to vote for the most deserving AHL players by visiting theahl.com and completing the official AHL All-Star Fan Ballot. On-line fan balloting at theahl.com will end at 11:59 p.m. EST on Sunday, January 8, 2006. By completing the official ballot, fans will be entered to win various prizes, including the grand prize of a team-signed authentic 2006 AHL All-Star jersey. Ten second-prize winners will each win an autographed commemorative magazine from the event, and 10 third-prize winners will each receive an official 2006 Rbk Hockey AHL All-Star Classic T-shirt.

Wednesday, December 14th - Pirates players will present the "Goals for Success" program at Wells Jr. High School in Wells, ME from 1:00 p.m.-1:45 p.m.
Wednesday, December 14th - Pirates players will be at the Hannaford Supermarket next to the Maine Mall from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Thursday, December 15th - The Pirates players will be at Bull Feeney's from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Visit the restaurant in Portland to enter for your chance to win a trip for two to Dublin, Ireland! The contest runs through December 21st.
