Friday Is Fan Appreciation Night

The Utica Comets will hold their inaugural Fan Appreciation Night on Friday, April 18 at the Utica Memorial Auditorium when the Comets host the Toronto Marlies at 7 p.m. Team awards, bobbleheads, team photos and prizes will all be given out as the Comets say "thank you" to their fans for all the support they have given the team this season.

The first 1,000 fans in attendance will take home a Darren Archibald bobblehead courtesy of New York State Tool. Fans interested in receiving a bobblehead must enter through the Labatt Blue Ticket Entrance where they will be given a voucher that can be redeemed outside section 202 or 215 for a bobblehead.

Every fan in attendance will be given an inaugural season team photo from Labatt Blue on their way out of the building. The Comets will also be giving away great prizes during the game to random rows and sections throughout The AUD.

The 50/50 raffle, which regularly grows to a pot of more than $10,000, will start with $1,000 already contributed. Any fan that purchases $20 worth of 50/50 tickets will receive a free inaugural season yearbook.

Just prior to the game, the Comets 2013-14 Team Awards will be presented, including the Eric Weinrich Award (Best Defenseman) and the Tom McVie Award (Coach's MVP). Both Weinrich, who began his career with the Utica Devils in 1988, and McVie, who spent four seasons as the head coach of the Utica Devils, will be in attendance to present the awards named in their honor.

The Comets regular season will conclude on Saturday, April 19 with a game against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at 7 p.m. Tickets are available by visiting The AUD box office or by visiting
