SAN ANTONIO (April 15, 2014) - Florida Panthers Executive Vice President and General Manager Dale Tallon announced Tuesday that defenseman Josh McFadden has been reassigned to the San Antonio Rampage's ECHL affiliate, the Cincinnati Cyclones.
McFadden, 22, has appeared in 13 games for San Antonio this season, registering a goal and five points over that span. The defenseman scored his first AHL goal on April 5 in a 3-0 win over the Lake Erie Monsters. He has spent the majority of the season with the Cyclones, scoring eight goals and adding six assists over 43 games.
The 6-foot-1, 207-pound Guelph, Ontario native made his professional debut with the Rampage during the 2012-13 season, though he spent most of his rookie campaign with the Cyclones, posting two goals and 14 points through 28 games.
Prior to turning pro, McFadden played four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League, totaling 222 games and 150 points (39 goals, 111 assists) between the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors and the Sudbury Wolves. During the 2010-11 season, McFadden led the Wolves in scoring and was third in the league among defenseman with 19 goals and 53 assists in 67 games.
San Antonio finishes up the 2013-14 regular season with a back-to-back against the Abbotsford Heat on April 17-18 (Thursday and Friday). Tickets can be purchased by calling a Rampage representative at 210-444-5554 or online at sarampage.com .
