
Florida Panthers Jimmy Hayes, Drew Shore & Vincent Trocheck to Represent USA at 2014 World Champions

SUNRISE, Fla. - USA Hockey announced today that Panthers forwards Jimmy Hayes, Drew Shore and Vincent Trocheck have been selected to play for the 2014 U.S. Men's National Team at the International Ice Hockey Federation World Men's Championship, in Minsk, Belarus from May 9-25.
Hayes, 24, played in 53 games with Florida this season scoring 11 goals with seven assists, after being acquired from the Chicago Blackhawks on Nov. 14. The Boston, MA native recorded 13 points (7-6-13) in his last 22 games played during the 2013-2014 season. For his career in the National Hockey League, Hayes has appeared in 96 games for Chicago (2011-2013) and Florida (2013-current) registering 31 points (17-14-31). Hayes was drafted by Toronto with their second choice (60th overall) in the 2008 NHL Draft.
Shore, 23, played in 24 games with Florida this season recording five goals and two assists while also recording 31 points (6-25-31) in 48 games with the San Antonio Rampage. The Denver, CO native has played in 67 career NHL games in two seasons with Florida posting 20 points (8-12-20). Shore was drafted by Florida with their second choice (44th overall) in the 2009 NHL Draft.
Trocheck, 20, made his NHL debut on Mar. 6 vs. Buffalo and recorded his first NHL goal on Mar. 14 vs. New Jersey Devils. The Pittsburgh, PA native played in 20 games for Florida this season averaging 18:53 TOI/G with five goals and three assists. Trocheck was drafted by Florida with their fourth choice (64th overall) in the 2011 NHL Draft.
