
Fourth Annual 'Tip-A-Condor' Monday at the Crystal Palace

Upcoming week of March 24th - March 30th:
· Monday, March 24th - The fourth annual Tip-A-Condor dinner will be held tonight at the Crystal Palace from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Sponsored by KUZZ 107.9, this year's event will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The charity dinner features Condors players and coaches posing as waiters for an evening, serving food and drinks to patrons. Tickets to the event are $25.00, $10.00 for children under 10, which includes tri-tip, chicken, rice, salad, potato and rolls. There will be a live auction as well after the dinner, with items ranging from signed merchandise to the stick used by Captain Paul Willett to record his 1,000th career point. Plus, this year, select Condors players will be showing off their singing talents as Karaoke singers. Songs will be auctioned off after dinner starts. The Crystal Palace is located at 3223 Sillect Avenue.
· Tuesday, March 25th - The Condors Slapshot and Condors staff will be at the Kern County Network for Children's "2003 Leaders in Life Youth Conference" for Kern County teens. The conference is being held at the Bakersfield Convention Center from 11:00 am - 12:45 pm. The conference is designed for middle and high school students, with many youths involved in organizing the event. The Bakersfield Convention Center is adjacent to Centennial Garden at 1001 Truxtun Avenue.
· Thursday, March 27th - Join the "Voice of the Condors", Kevin Bartl as he hosts the Condors Coach's Show on KGEO AM 1230 live from the Holiday Inn Select's Q Street Bistro from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Head Coach Paul Kelly and select Condors players will be the guests on the show. The Holiday Inn Select is located at 801 Truxtun, on the corner of Q Street and Truxtun.
· Friday, March 28th - Join the Condors as they host the Anchorage Aces for KUZZ 107.9 and Sierra Mist CD Wallet Giveaway Night. The first 2,000 fans will receive a Condors CD wallet. Also, CBS 29, McDonald's & Big Valley Construction host Condors Classroom Champions Night. Students who achieve outstanding attendance levels will receive a complimentary ticket to the game. Tonight's game can be seen live on Time Warner Cable Ch. 21 (Digital 21). Single-game tickets are available through the Centennial Garden Box Office, open 10:00 am - 6:00 pm Monday through Saturday. Tickets may also be purchased by phone through Ticketmaster at 322-2525, online at www.ticketmaster.com or at any Ticketmaster location. Group outings may be purchased by calling, or visiting the Condors office at Centennial Garden. The doors open at 6:00 pm and the puck drops at 7:00 pm.
· Saturday, March 29th - KERO TV 23, KNZR 1560 and Frank's Brake present Baby Cal Beanie Giveaway as the Condors take on the Fresno Falcons. The first 2,000 children 12 & under will receive a Cal, the Baby Condor beanie doll. Plus, all season ticket holders are invited to the lower level to meet the team following the game behind section 109.
Week in Review:
· Monday, March 17th - The Condors celebrated St. Patrick's Day at the Downtown Business Association's St. Patrick's Day Mixer. Condors players Jason Ralph, J.J. Wrobel, Christian Skoryna, and Mike Marostega were signing autographs. The DBA mixer was held at Wall Street Alley from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm.
Condors Droppings:
· It's the last full week to sign-up for Colonel Claw'd's Kids Club party. The party is next Monday, March 31 at John's Incredible Pizza Company from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Open only to Kids Club members, your $6.00 admission includes John's all-you-can-eat pizza buffet, soft drinks, 8 game tokens and one amusement ride.
· For the month of March, in honor of his 1,000th point, Paul Willett bobbleheads are now half-off with the purchase of a shirt.
· The Condors monthly Internet auction is a "Guest PA". This is your chance to grab the mic and assist the Condors Public Address announcer, Chris Peace during one of the remaining home games this season. You'll get to sit on the glass in the PA booth with The Peaceman during the game! Plus, you'll receive a Condors polo and a 5th Anniversary guest PA badge.
· The Condors find themselves in the #15 slot in the âAA' minor league hockey poll on the web site www.inthecrease.com.
