Louisiana's McNeil Named InGlasCo East Coast Hockey League Player of the Week

McNeil previously won the honor for the week of October 14-20.

The 25-year-old McNeil scored seven points (4g-3a) and was +2 as Louisiana went 3-0 for the week. The IceGators have won five in a row and begin the final week of the season in second place in the Southwest Division, one point behind Mississippi with a game in hand.

Selected in the third round (78th overall) by the Washington Capitals in the 1996 National Hockey League Entry Draft, McNeil scored two goals, including a shorthand goal, and had an assist in a 4-2 win at Jackson on Wednesday. He scored two goals and four points in a 5-3 win over Mississippi on Saturday that moved the IceGators back into first place.

McNeil is third in the ECHL with 39 goals while ranking fourth in scoring with 89 points and tied for fourth with eight game-winning goals.

On behalf of Shawn McNeil, a case of pucks will be donated to a Louisiana area youth hockey organization by InGlasCo.
