BILOXI, Miss. â The Mississippi Sea Wolves came from three goals down against Arkansas yesterday to stay in first place in the Southwest Division.
After 69 games, Mississippi's has a team-record 42 wins, for an overall record of 42-23-4. The Sea Wolves have a total of 88 points, one more than second place Louisiana. The IceGators have one game in hand.
Mississippi has posted a team-record 25 wins at home, and have an overall home record of 25-7-3. The Sea Wolves are 17-16-1 on the road.
On Monday, Mississippi dropped a 4-1 decision at Arkansas. The Sea Wolves fell 5-3 at Louisiana on Saturday. Then yesterday, Mississippi rallied to score four straight goals and defeat Arkansas, 4-3 at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. The Sea Wolves victory was a team-record 11th straight at home. Mississippi is unbeaten in team-record 17 games in a row (15-0-2) at the Wolves Den.

Tuesday, March 25 vs. Baton Rouge Kingfish â 7:05 p.m. CT Mississippi Coast Coliseum, Biloxi, Mississippi
The 12th and final meeting of the regular season. Mississippi is 9-2-0 against Baton Rouge this season. The Sea Wolves lead the battle for the Coca-Cola Cup, 18 points to 4. Through five of six games at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum, the Sea Wolves are 4-1-0.
Baton Rouge took the last game between the teams, 5-4 at the Riverside Centroplex on March 5. Kingfish rookie Joe Guenther registered his first career hat trick in the victory. The Sea Wolves have won the last three games at the Wolves Den including the last meeting in Biloxi on February 28, by a score of 8-3.
Dave Paradise leads the Sea Wolves against Baton Rouge with eight goals and 15 points. Steffon Walby, Jim Baxter and Kent Davyduke each have 10 assists in the games versus the Kingfish.
Of the active Kingfish players, Joe Guenther, Clark Jones and Mike Kiesman lead Baton Rouge with five points. Guenther is tops with five goals. Kiesman leads Baton Rouge with four assists against Mississippi.
The Sea Wolves all-time overall record against the Kingfish through 53 regular season games is 31-19-3.
Mississippi's all-time home record at the Wolves Den is 15-9-2 after 26 games during the regular season.
The Sea Wolves all-time road record at the Riverside Centroplex through 27 regular season games is 16-10-1.
Friday, March 28 at Pensacola Ice Pilots â 7:05 p.m. CT Pensacola Civic Center, Pensacola, Florida
The 12th and final meeting of the regular season. Mississippi is 7-3-1 against Pensacola this season. Through five of six games at the Pensacola Civic Center, the Sea Wolves are 3-2-0 against the Ice Pilots.
Mississippi won the last game between the teams at the Pensacola Civic Center, 6-5 in overtime on March 14. The Sea Wolves trailed 5-2 in the third period, only to rally with three goals to send it to extra time. Steffon Walby completed the comeback by scoring his 40th goal of the season, just 19 seconds into overtime.
Jim Baxter leads Mississippi with 13 assists and 16 points against Pensacola. Steffon Walby is the team leader with eight goals, including three game-winners versus the Ice Pilots.
Greg Pankewicz (5g-6a) and Louis Dumont (1g-10a) are tied for the team lead with 11 points against Mississippi. Gregor Baumgartner leads the way with six goals against the Sea Wolves. Dumont has 10 assists versus Mississippi, which is tops in that department.
The Sea Wolves all-time overall record against the Ice Pilots through 55 regular season games is 37-15-3.
Mississippi's all-time home record against Pensacola at the Wolves Den after 29 regular season games is 21-6-2.
The Sea Wolves all-time road record at the Pensacola Civic Center through 26 games is 16-9-1 during the regular season.
Saturday, March 29 at Jackson Bandits â 7:05 p.m. CT Mississippi Coliseum, Jackson, Mississippi
It's the final regular season game for Mississippi and 12th meeting between the teams. Mississippi is 9-1-1 against Jackson this season and leads the battle for the Nextel Cup, 19 points to 5. Through five of six games at the Mississippi Coliseum in Jackson, the Sea Wolves are 3-1-1 against the Bandits.
Mississippi has won the last five games between the teams, including the last meeting, 4-3 in overtime on March 13 at the Wolves Den. The Sea Wolves rallied from a 3-0 deficit in the second period. Dave Paradise capped off a hat trick performance by scoring the game-winning goal at 1:20 of overtime.
Steffon Walby leads Mississippi with 10 goals and 18 points against Jackson this season. Jim Baxter has a team-high 14 assists versus the Bandits.
Jeff Bes is tops with five assists and nine points against Mississippi. John McNabb is tops with five goals versus the Sea Wolves.
Mississippi's all-time overall record against the Bandits through 36 games is 23-9-4 during the regular season.
The Sea Wolves all-time home record versus Jackson at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum is 11-4-2 after 17 regular season games.
Mississippi's all-time road record at Jackson is 13-5-2 through 20 games during the regular season.
Player of the Week:
Rookie forward Mike Scott collected points in each of the three Sea Wolves games last week. The 6-foot-1 and 195-pound native of Calgary, Alberta scored one goal on Monday at Arkansas. Scott picked up another marker plus an assist on Saturday at Louisiana. On Sunday, he registered two helpers in the Mississippi win over Arkansas.
Scott has set team-records for a rookie this season for goals (25), assists (40) and points (60).
Goaltender of the Week:
Greg Gardner added to his team-record and career-high by winning his 30th game of the season against Arkansas yesterday. The 6-foot and 190-pound native of Mississauga, Ontario went 1-2-0 last week.
Gardner is 30-16-4 this season, with a goals against average of 2.76 and .918 save percentage.
Streaking Sea Wolves:
Mississippi is riding a team-record 11 consecutive wins at home and are unbeaten in a team-record 17 straight games (15-0-2) at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. The last regulation loss the Sea Wolves suffered at home was December 20 against Louisiana.
Rookie forward Mike Scott has a four-game point streak (3g-3a).
Forward Sergei Kuznetsov has points in his last two games (2g-2a).
Veteran forward Steffon Walby has points over his last two games (1g-1a).
Forward Travis Lisabeth has a two-game point streak (1g-1a).

Forwards Dave Paradise and Stu Pietersma are on the 7-day injured reserve. Goaltender Mike Buckley remains on the 30-day IR.
