Arkansas' Fankhouser Named East Coast Hockey League Goalie of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Arkansas' Scott Fankhouser is the East Coast Hockey League Goalie of the Week for March 17-23.

Fankhouser won the honor for the week of November 18-24 when he was a member of the Reading Royals.

The 27-year-old Fankhouser was 3-0 as Arkansas went 3-1-0 while battling Jackson for third place in the Southwest Division.

Selected by the St. Louis Blues in the 11th round (276th overall) of the 1994 National Hockey League Entry Draft, Fankhouser made 37 saves in a 4-1 win against Southwest Division leader Mississippi on Monday. He had 35 saves in a 4-3 win against Pensacola on Friday and made 21 saves in a 3-2 win against Pensacola on Saturday.

Fankhouser is 8-3-2 with a shutout, a 2.62 goals against average and a .918 save percentage in 14 games with Arkansas. He was 11-12-1 with a 3.86 goals against average and a .888 save percentage in 26 games with Reading.
