Komet's Captain Chaulk captures UHL Sher-Wood Player of the Week honor

Fort Wayne, IN --- The UHL announced today that Fort Wayne Komets center Colin Chaulk has been named Sher-Wood UHL Player of the Week for week ending March 23, 2003.

Chaulk, 26, registered 2 goals (ppg, gwg) and 9 assists for 11 points and a +7 plus/minus rating in 5 games played to earn his first Sher-Wood UHL Player of the Week award while leading the Komets to a 4-1-0 record for the week.

The Komet captain pointed in each game to extend his point-scoring streak to 6 games (2g, 12a). Chaulk also dished assists in each of the last 4 games for a 4-game assist streak (9a). The skater had 2 4-point outings during the week and has scored 3 or more points per game on 8 occasions so far this season.

The Toronto, Ontario native leads the Komets with 56 assists in 68 games and is appearing in his 5th pro year, 3rd year in the UHL and first year with Fort Wayne.
