This will be the last road trip for the Inferno in the regular season. Columbia is 4-2-0 this season against the Everblades and 7-6-1 all time.
Saturday, March 29th @ Florida Teco Arena 7:30pm
This is the second game of the series for the Inferno.
LAST WEEK
Thursday, March 20th COLUMBIA 6 Florida 3 @ Columbia
Division title. Defenseman Trevor Demmans started the scoring for the Inferno at the eight minute mark of the first period with passes from Chris Pittman and Matt Ulwelling. Rejean Stringer scored his first goal of the night at 9:46 on a 5-3 power play opportunity with an assist going to Chris St. Croix. Florida scored at 15:46 to bring the game to 2-1 at the end of the first. Stringer scored his second goal of the night, 12 seconds into the second period on a 5-3 power play as Corey Hessler and St. Croix set him up. At 4:08, Stringer scored his third goal of the night to give the Inferno a 4-1 lead. Robin Carruthers had the assist. Sean Owens added his seventh goal of the season at 6:47 with Darrell Hay and Tim Smith on the assists. Florida scored their second goal of the night at 19:31. Chris Pittman put the icing on the cake when he added the sixth goal of the game for the Inferno at 12:23 of the third period. Sean Owens and Matt Ulwelling had the assists. Goaltender Patrick Couture stopped 39 of 42 shots on goal for his 26th victory.
Friday, March 21st Columbia 4 RICHMOND 6 @ Columbia
The Inferno lost in their last regular season home game as they fall to the Richmond Renegades 6-4. The game was tied 2-2 at the end of the first period with Inferno goals by Rejean Stringer and Shawn Wansborough. Robin Carruthers scored his 20th goal of the season to give the Inferno a 3-2 lead at 2:51 of the second period. Richmond tied it up at 6:06. At 9:00, Sean Owens scored as the Inferno went up once again 4-3. The third period Richmond dominated as they scored three goals to earn them their 32nd win of the season.
Saturday, March 22nd COLUMBIA 3 Pee Dee 1 @ Pee Dee
Rejean Stringer had two goals, including the game winner as the Inferno beat the Pride 3-1. Stringer scored at 17:37 of the first period with assists to Shawn Wansborough and Chris St. Croix. At :46 seconds into the second period, Stringer had his second goal of the night with a pass from Dennis Vial. Darrell Hay added the insurance goal at 15:36 of the second period from St. Croix and Barrie Moore. Patrick Couture was in goal for the Inferno stopping 26 of 27 shots.
