RiverBlades' goaltender Scott Fankhouser was selected as the ECHL Goalie of the Week for the week of March 17-23.

Fankhouser, 27, a native of Bismarck, N.D., was 3-0 this past week, helping the Blades to a 3-1 record and third place in the Southwest Division. Fankhouser is 8-3-2 since joining the RiverBlades on February 15th. He has posted a 2.62 goals against average and a .918 save percentage in 14 games between the pipes for Arkansas.

This marks the second time this year Fankhouser has won the award. Back in November, Scott won the award as a member of the Reading Royals for the week of November 18-24. With Reading, he was 11-12-1 with a 3.86 goals against average and a .888 save percentage.

Fankhouser is an 11th round draft pick of the St. Louis Blues in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft, and he saw time with the NHL's Atlanta Thrashers during the 1999-2000 and 2000-2001 seasons.

Fankhouser and the Blades return to action Tuesday and Wednesday, hosting the Columbus Cottonmouths. The Blades then travel to Jackson on Friday, and return home for their final regular season home game Saturday against Louisiana. Faceoff is set for 7:05 p.m.
