Evansville Otters News Release

(EVANSVILLE, Indiana) - Utilityman Jared Jordan has done a little bit of it all this season for the Evansville Otters.

The rookie from New Mexico State has recorded his first professional hit and home run this year while also earning his first professional win as a pitcher too.

But something that Jordan has never done will be attempted tonight. Jared will look to play all nine defensive positions in a single game this evening when the Evansville Otters host the Normal CornBelters at Historic Bosse Field.

The Moreno Valley, California native hopes to become only the second Evansville Otter in franchise history to accomplish the feat. On August 27th, 1998, Matt Cano started behind the plate for Evansville, played innings at all infield and outfield positions and then finished the night with a scoreless inning pitched on the mound.

Jordan has already played eight of the positions this season for the Otters with the exception of center field.

Come down to Bosse Field tonight as Jared Jordan looks to etch his name in the history books. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. CDT with postgame fireworks following the final out (sponsored by Indiana Hoosier Lottery).
