February 25, 2026 - EVANSVILLE, Ind. - The Evansville Otters are excited to announce the signing of outfielder Nolan McCarthy by the Detroit Tigers.
McCarthy, a native of Kalamazoo, MI, was officially acquired by the Otters on Nov. 5, 2025, completing a prior trade with the Ottawa Titans. He was expected to make his Otters debut at Spring Training in late April.

February 10, 2026 - EVANSVILLE, Ind. - The Evansville Otters have signed left-handed pitcher Luke Baker and outfielders Jon Ponder & Casey Sorg.
Luke Baker, a native of Gainesville, FL, joins the Otters for his second push at pro ball. Baker signed with the Gastonia Ghost Peppers (Atlantic League) on May 24 last season but pitched just three games before hitting the Injured List on May 30. He would not see action again in 2025.

February 5, 2026 - EVANSVILLE, Ind. - The Evansville Otters are excited to announce the re-signings of infielder Dennis Pierce and right-handed pitcher Nick McAuliffe.
Dennis Pierce, a hard-hitting corner infielder from Quakertown, PA, is back in Evansville for his sophomore professional season. After signing with the Otters on June 10, Pierce grabbed hits in five of his first seven professional games. He finished the season with a .286 average, with 70 hits, 10 doubles, two triples, 39 RBI and a team-high 17 home runs.
