Today, the SeaWolves look for a series split as they take on the Akron Aeros (Cleveland Indians) in the final game of a four-game series at Canal Park. Yesterday afternoon, the SeaWolves snapped 10-game road losing streak and a six-game overall losing skid as they beat the Aeros 10-4. The win was Erie's sixth against Akron this season and the clubs first at Canal Park..Erie has struggled at Canal Park over the last three seasons. Since 2009, the SeaWolves are 4-22 in their last 26 games in Akron and have not won more than two games in Akron since 2008...Righty Brooks Brown takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his seventh start and second against the Aeros. Brown is 0-2 with a no-decision in his last three starts. He took a no-decision against Akron on July 1 allowing eight runs, three earned, on six hits with three walks and three strikeouts in 4.2 innings of work...Brown took his third loss in his last start at Harrisburg on July 6. In the game, he allowed four runs, three earned, on eight hits with three walks and five strikeouts. Erie lost the game 4-3...Righty Joe Gardner takes the mound for the Aeros making his 16th start and second against the SeaWolves. Gardner took a no-decision against Erie on July 1 allowing six runs, one earned, on three hits with three walks and three strikeouts in 2.2 innings of work. Gardner took a loss in his last start against Altoona allowing four runs on eight hits with two walks and six strikeouts in six innings...Carlos Guillen has been transferred to Erie to continue his rehabilitation assignment. He is slated to play just one game with the SeaWolves before resuming his rehab with Toledo on Thursday night.
