Workman Swipes Record in Late Erie Loss

July 26, 2024 - The SeaWolves (54-38) lost their five-game winning streak as Altoona (40-54) scored a pair of late runs to beat Erie 3-1. The win also snapped Altoona's six-game losing streak. Jackson Jobe started for Erie. He surrendered a solo home run to Carter Bins in the second inning, giving Altoona a 1-0 lead. In his 12th start of the season between High-A and Double-A, it was the first home run Jobe allowed this season. Jobe labored through 5.2 innings. Workman Walks off Altoona After Alfonzo Forces Extras

July 25, 2024 - The SeaWolves (54-37) forced extra innings and walked off Altoona (39-54) in the 10th inning, 5-4. Erie has now won five games in a row and Altoona has lost six straight. Altoona scored quickly in the first inning. Tsung-Che Cheng began the game by hitting a soft ground ball to Erie's starter Wilkel Hernandez. Hernandez threw the ball into right field for an error, allowing Cheng to race to third base. Sammy Siani followed with a sacrifice fly to give Altoona a 1-0 lead on an unearned run. Burhenn's Strong Outing Leads Erie to Fourth Straight Win

July 24, 2024 - The SeaWolves (53-37) secured a fourth consecutive win with a 5-2 victory over Altoona (39-53). Erie opened the scoring in the second inning when Ben Malgeri blasted a two-run homer against Altoona starter Drake Fellows, giving Erie a 2-0 lead. Malgeri homered in consecutive at bats dating back to Tuesday night. Altoona got a run back against Erie starter Garrett Burhenn in the third. July 23, 2024 - The SeaWolves (52-37) snapped a four-game losing streak against Altoona (39-52) in a series-opening, 8-6 win. Altoona scored early against Erie starter Troy Melton. Abrahan Gutierrez singled home the first run of the game in the first inning. Melton struck out a pair to leave the bases loaded in the first.
